TIFFIN
SERVICE

Look, half our restaurant regulars kept asking the same thing. "Can you guys just send food to my office?" After hearing it enough times, we said fine, let's do tiffins. Now we pack up the same Maharashtrian food we cook at Mejwaani and drive it straight to people's doors in Edison.

Every tiffin gets packed fresh that morning. The sabzis have real masala in them, not that watered-down stuff. Chapatis are soft because they were rolled out hours ago, not days ago. We grew up eating this food and we'd be embarrassed to send out anything less.

Enjoy at Your Doorstep

Dabba arrives, you open it, you eat. Done. That's genuinely the whole process. Our delivery covers Edison plus neighboring towns like Woodbridge and Iselin.

WHY MEJWAANI

Home-Style Cooking

Our head cook learned Maharashtrian cooking from her aaji in Pune. Twenty-five-plus years of practice and she still argues with us about whether the pohe needs more kadi patta. That stubbornness is exactly why the food is so good.

Fresh Daily

Kitchen fires go on at 6 AM. By lunchtime, the food in your tiffin is only a couple hours old. One customer told us she could smell the tadka through the container before she even opened it. That's the kind of fresh we're talking about.

Rotating Menu

Amti-bhakri one day, usal pav the next, then maybe a paneer dish to mix things up. Our cook plans the weekly menu like she's hosting relatives. No repeats allowed, apparently.

Flexible Plans

We have one guy who gets tiffin every single day, rain or shine. Another family does just three days a week because the wife cooks on weekends. Whatever your schedule looks like, we can match it. No contracts or minimums.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions & Answers

So you open the dabba and there's rice, a couple chapatis, dal, and a sabzi. Sometimes there's a pickle or a little something extra depending on the day. We don't do fancy containers or anything — it's the food that matters. And the food is the exact same stuff coming out of our restaurant kitchen. Nothing different.

We're based out of Edison so that whole area is covered. Our driver goes through Woodbridge and Iselin daily too. Piscataway and Metuchen are usually on the route. If your town isn't listed here, try calling (908) 279-7460 anyway because we might still be able to reach you.

Lunch shows up between 11:30ish and 1 PM. Dinner is more like 6 to 8. It depends where you are on the driver's route — if you're in Edison, usually earlier; farther out towns, a bit later. After a couple orders, you'll know roughly when to expect the knock.

Yep, both. Veg tiffins come with Maharashtrian sabzis and dals — the kind of stuff that makes you forget you're eating vegetarian. Non-veg options rotate between chicken, mutton, and fish dishes. You can pick what works for you.

For sure. We've got daily, weekly, and monthly plans. If you subscribe, you get a better rate than ordering one-off, plus you're first in line for delivery. Call us and we'll set you up with whatever schedule makes sense.

Go to order.mejwaani.com/tiffin — that's the quickest way. If you're more of a phone person, dial (908) 279-7460. Or honestly, if you're in the neighborhood, just walk into the restaurant at 1103 Inman Ave in Edison and we'll set it up right there.

Absolutely. Got allergies? Tell us. Need it Jain? Done. Want less spice because your stomach has been acting up? We get it. Just give us a heads-up when you place the order so our kitchen knows before they start cooking yours.

Two things, really. First, the taste. People who've tried other tiffin services in the area tell us ours actually tastes like someone's mom cooked it. Second, the portions. We're not skimpy. You'll have enough for lunch and maybe even a little left over. Oh, and it's the same cooks from our restaurant making your tiffin, so the quality is identical.
